Air pollution protection


Definition:

Ensuring the highest possible quality of air, in particular through maintaining the level of substances contained in air below permissible limits or at worst equal to such limits; reducing the level of substances in the air, at worst to permissible levels, if the level of such substances exceeds permitted levels; reducing and maintaining the level of substances contained in air below target limits or long-term aims or at worst to these levels.
