Methodological description
Price index of market agricultural output reflects the changes in the prices of sold agricultural products i.e. average procurement prices and market place received by farmers. It is calculated as the ratio of the value index and volume index of market agricultural output obtained from aggregated agricultural output accounts.
In agricultural market output so-called subsidies on products are taken into consideration, i.e. supplementary area payments calculated for particular year (among others: cereals, oilseeds crops, hop, pulses and plants intended for seeds and feed).
The value index is calculated as the relation of the market output level at current prices in the reference period to the output level in the previous year, and the volume index at constant prices.
