Among the non-financial enterprises declaring the start of operations in 2022, 200 856 units remained active by 2023 i.e. 67.0%. The highest survival rate after the first year of activity was recorded for entities in professional, scientific and technical activities section (78.1%).

Financial results of investment funds in the first half of 2023

The value of total assets collected by investment funds at the end of June 2023 amounted to 329.0 billion PLN (an increase of 9.8% compared to the end of June of the previous year). The value of funds investments increased to 262.5 billion PLN (by 16.1%).

Financial results of non-financial enterprises in January-September 2023

In January-September of 2023 financial results of the surveyed non-financial enterprises were deteriorated to those obtained a year earlier. The economic and financial indicators decreased. Investment outlays were higher by 11.5% than those recorded in January-September of 2022 (when there was an increase by 5.0%).

Retail sales index - October 2023

In October 2023 retail sales at constant prices were by 2.8% higher than the year before (against an increase of 0.7% in October 2022). Compared with Septmber 2023, an increase by 3.2% in retail sales was recorded. In the period of January-October 2023 sales decreased y/y by 2.6% (in 2022 a growth of 6.0%).

Index numbers of construction and assembly production in October 2023

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in October 2023 by 9.8% higher than in the same period of 2022 (an increase of 3.9% in the corresponding period of 2022) and by 2.5% higher compared to September 2023 (an increase of 4.0% in the corresponding period of 2022).

Residential construction in the period of January-October 2023

In the period of January - October 2023, there were less dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun also decreased.
