The specific objectives of the GOSPOSTRATEG program are:
- implementation of policies, strategies, operational documents and specific solutions developed within the program;
- implementation of solutions developed within the program, which strengthen social capital necessary to conduct national and regional development policies.
1. Project – An intelligent system for the production of road and maritime transport statistics using big data volumes for the shaping of the country's transport policy – TRANSTAT
The aim of the project is to modernise the production system of road and maritime transport statistics using large data sets (Big Data), new products introduction (i.e. the development of a methodology for the estimate of traffic volume, transport performance volume and volume of pollutants emitted by means of transport. Moreover, the objective of the project is to create conditions to conduct functional analyses and to manage of transport systems for modern planning and shaping the country's transport policy. As a part of the project implementation, mechanisms for downloading and processing data in real time ("Big Data") and implemented large data sets from sensors such as the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Electronic Toll Collection System (viaTOLL) will be used.
The project is being implemented by the Consortium:
- Statistics Poland / Statistical Office in Szczecin (Leader),
- Cracow University of Technology
- Maritime University of Szczecin.
2. Project – Construction of an integrated system of retail price statistics – INSTATCENY
The research work within the project is aimed at developing the concept of modernisation of the process of measuring changes in retail prices of goods and services (inflation measurement) by the Statistics Poland. New data sources and innovative data obtaining methods will be taken into account. The project will result in the creation of an IT system which will allow the management of acquired data and the integration of heterogeneous and distributed data sets.
The project is being implemented by the Consortium:
- Statistics Poland (Leader),
- Warsaw School of Economics
- Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
3. Project – Satellite identification and monitoring of crops for the purposes of agricultural statistics – SATMIROL
The undertaking’s main objective is to improve the algorithms of crop recognition and monitoring the plant vegetation conditions as well as develop of assessment methods for the impact of extreme events such as flood, drought, frost or flooding on the condition of agricultural land. The work is based on administrative sources and free satellite data from the European COPERNICUS programme. The implementation of the undertaking will contribute to solving the problems faced by agricultural statistics and recipients of statistical data in the scope of agriculture.
The project is being implemented by the Consortium:
- Statistics Poland (Leader),
- Institute of Geodesy and Cartography,
- Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
4. Project – Development of a system of measuring indicators enabling the assessment of progress in the transformation towards a circular economy (abbreviation in Polish: GOZ) as well as the impact of GOZ on socio-economic development at the mesoeconomic (regions) and macroeconomic (national economy) level (oto-GOZ acronym)
The aim of the oto-GOZ project is to develop of a system of measuring indicators (so-called GOZ indexes) enabling the assessment of progress in the transformation towards a circular economy (GOZ) as well as the assessment of the impact of GOZ on socio-economic development at the mesoeconomic (regions) and macroeconomic (national economy) level.
