On June 25, 2019 at 9.30 at the Column Hall of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland a conference on the Migration and the demographic situation of Poland will take place.

The aim of the conference is to identify real problems regarding the demographic situation and to identify possible actions to improve it. In addition, ideas of prevention or inhibition of adverse trends in the development of migration will be discussed. At the same time, the conference aims to inspire authorities at all levels to take action that will reduce the effects of imminent demographic change, especially in local communities.

During the conference, two thematic sessions are planned. First, named Migration and the demographic situation of Poland. Research status – Diagnosis. Second, named Migration policy and the demographic situation of Poland, will be organized in the form of a panel debate.

During first session Ms. Dorota Szałtys from Statistics Poland will present Population issues in the Population and Housing Census initiating a debate on the upcoming census in the context of demographic change.
