Wet devices

Definition:

Mechanical wet dust removal devices as tower washers, wet cyclones, centrifugal washers, dust collectors with Venturi tube.

The principle of their operation is based on use of the phenomena occurring during the confrontation of polluted gas with washing liquid i.e. condensation of water vapour, diffusion, collision of drops of liquid with particulates, electrostatic phenomena, break up of gas, settlement of particulates. These devices are designed for removal of fine, non-corrosive and non-cementing particulates from technological gases. They are characterized by relatively high effectiveness of dust removal (up to 99%). Wet dust removal devices can also be used for gas cooling.
