Districts of the Capital City Warszawa constitute supporting units of the Capital City of The Republic of Poland.

The Councillors constitute the decision-making and controlling body. The elections for councillors of district councils are held in conjunction with the elections for councillors of the Capital City Warszawa. The district councillors are bound by the laws governing gmina councillors. The tenure of district councillors begins on the day of election and ends on the day preceding the following election. District councillors are led by the presiding councillor.
