In Poland, as of the end of 2024, there were recorded almost 16.0 million dwellings (an increase of 1.2 % compared to the end of 2023). Their total useful floor area increase by 1.4%, the number of rooms by 1.1%.
As of 31 December 2024, dwelling stocks located on the territory of Poland amounted to almost 16.0 million (an increase of 1.2%) of dwellings with the total useful floor area of 1,206.8 million m2 (an increase of 1.4%) with 61.2 million rooms (an increase of 1.1%).
Compared to the year 2023, dwelling stocks increased by 186.5 thousand of dwellings with useful floor area of 16,160.8 thousand m2 and 683.2 thousand rooms.
Slightly more than 10.8 million dwellings with the useful floor area of 704,2 million m2 and 37,9 million rooms were located in urban areas. There were 5.1 million dwellings with a total useful floor area of 502.6 million m2 and 23.2 million rooms in rural areas. In urban areas the number of dwellings increased by 138.9 thousand (by 1.3%), while in rural areas the increase was 47,6 thousand (0.9%).
