The publication presents and discusses statistical data on various aspects of the quality of life of elderly people in Poland. The analyses cover such domains as material situation, leisure time activities, use of the Internet or broadly understood social relations. The sphere of professed values or religious life has not been omitted either. A separate chapter is devoted to subjective well-being, including assessments of emotional state and, above all, life satisfaction. The study also contains a synthetic analysis comparing the quality of life of older people in Poland and in the European Union.

The data presented in this publication refer to the period before the COVID-19 pandemic, so they may serve as a starting point for further studies and analyses reflecting the impact of the pandemic on both objective living conditions and the subjective well-being of older people.

By: total elderly persons, of which persons at age 75 and over.
