Transaction price indices of foreign trade


Definition:

Transaction price indices of foreign trade define changes in foreign currency prices and changes in exchange rates of foreign currencies expressed in zlotys. Observation of changes in prices of selected commodities is conducted with the use of data concerning foreign trade turnover (imports - cif, exports - fob). Price indices are calculate applying the structure of turnover value in the serveyed year. Price indices for the lowest CN levels are calculated as "unit value" and then aggregate according chapters and sections. The Paasche formula was applied in calculations.
