Insolation

Definition:

Summary time (during the day, the month or the year) in which radiation comes directly from the sun's disk to a specific place on the Earth's surface.

There is distinguished real insolation, i.e. dependent not only on the length of the day, but also on factors limiting the inflow of radiation (mainly cloudiness, degree of the horizon coverage), and possible insolation, including only the time from sunrise to sunset.
