The Virtual hackathon on Telling Stories with SDG data, 5-7 September 2017
Between 5-7 September 2017, an international virtual Hackathon inspired by the SDGs took place. The task of the participants was to develop an innovative, user-oriented tool for the presentation of digital statistics.
The event was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. 15 teams from Hungary, Great Britain, Slovenia, Canada, Ireland, Poland, Mexico, New Zealand and Eurostat took part. Poland was represented by two teams: "Polish Statistical Crew" (GUS / US Gdansk) and "US Bialystok".
Each team has created within 3 days a product that presents the situation of young people in different areas (e.g. education, health, labor market, poverty, etc.) based on indicators used for monitoring the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals.
