Average monthly gross wage and salary in enterprise sector in March 2023 was PLN 7508.34.

According to the EDP notification, in 2022 the general government deficit was equal 115 137 mln zl (3,7% of GDP), while the general government debt amounted to 1 512 227 mln zl (49,1% of GDP).

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in March 2023 in comparison with the previous month (by 1.0%), while compared to the corresponding period of the last year increased (by 10.5%).

In March 2023, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to March 2022 was higher by 0.5% y/y and amounted to 6516.8 thousand full-time equivalents. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment decreased by 0.1%. Average gross wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in March 2023 compared to March 2022 were higher by 12.6% y/y and amounted to 7508.34 PLN. In regard to February 2023 average gross wages and salaries increased by 6.3%.

In April the assessments of general business climate indicator in all of presented kinds of activities are at a higher level as compared to the ones presented in March this year. In all areas, except for retail trade, it is below the long-term mean . In majority of the areas, the level of "diagnostic" components is similar as in March, while all the "prognostic" ones improve.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the labour cost index increased by 0.2% compared to the third quarter of the same year, and compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, it increased by 11.6%.

According to the final estimate gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 increased by 6.9% year-on-year comparison against 6.8% previously published. In 2022 GDP increased by 5.1% against 4.9% previously released.

In April 2023, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, syn-thetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -32.2 which was by 3.4 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

Total growth of gross domestic product at constant prices for 2017-2022 was 128.1.
