In the first quarter of 2022, the financial results of cultural institutions increased compared to those obtained in the corresponding period of the previous year. Total revenues increased by 19.7% during this period. Investment outlays increased by 21.3%.

In June 2022, there was a deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -43.8 which was by 5.4 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

In all of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in June is at a lower or similar level as compared to the previous month. In most of researched areas “forecast” components deteriorate, whereas “diagnostic” ones do not change.

The value of total assets acumulated by investment fund companies at the end of 2021 amounted to PLN 3.0 billion which means increase by 1.7% compared to the end of the previous year.

In May 2022 retail sales1 at constant prices were by 8.2% higher than the year before (against an increase of 13.9% in May 2021). Compared with April 2022 retail sales decreased by 1.7%. In the period of January-May2 2022 retail sales y/y were by 10.6% higher (against an increase of 7.9% in 2021).

Acording to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in May 2022 by 13.0% higher than a year before (an increase of 4.7% the year before) and by 14.2% higher compared with April 2022 (an increase of 10.2% the year before).

In the first five months of 2022, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. Whereas the number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

According to preliminary data, in May 2022 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 12.2%, and in comparison with April 2022 - by 1.3%.

In May 2022, sold production of industry was by 15.0% higher than in May 2021, when an increase was recorded by 29.7% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with April 2022, it increased by 1.4%.
